Busted by Border Patrol at Galvestion Cruise terminal

Looks like an interesting change going on in Galveston. They didn't used to check for open warrants on cruise passengers, but it looks like they are now. Two were busted this week. Don't know if this is temporary or there has been a policy change or what, but this is a major change of SOP.

BTW--I'm fine with it!

It hasn't made the big news or cruise news outlets as yet, but I caught it in two local newspapers in Texas.

I would think that stuff gets run every time they run your passport, but we just don't usually hear about the hits they get. Maybe I'm wrong though. I know I'd be big time puckered up every time I passed thru security of that sort if I knew I had a warrant hanging over my head....

Thisis the first time I've heard of arrests when trying to board. Remember last year when that lady was arrested when she came back, and she was not the correct person. But this is good to know that it is being done. hopefully at more that just Galveston.

Good thought. If you can afford a cruise vacation, you can afford to pay your support. If they start screening for that there'll be a lot of puckering going thru security...

I would LOVE to see that happen! Unfortunately, there may be more "hits" than they can handle
