Smile New orleans

My wife and I are thinking about taking a cruise out of New Orleans. We were looking at a web site about the port in New Orleans It stated that the mississippi River is close our question tho it might sound silly to some but we dont know is do you have to sail on the Mississippi when leaving New Orleans?

New Orleans is a great place to cruise from, as well as a great place for pre-cruise.

You do cruise up and down the Mississipi River going out and coming back in.

We've sailed from there a couple of times now, and always enjoy it.
