Default Evenings onboard....

So..you have enjoyed a wonderul dinner at sea..said your, see you tomorrows to your tablemates, and the entire evening is ahead of you.

Do you enjoy the production shows? I know if I never see another NewYork/Hollywood number, that will be ok... I like the new options being offered.

Does the casino get some time and money from you, or, are you a lounge lizard, enjoying the piano bars and singing along? Maybe you are too pooped, and, maybe an early night is right for you.

How does your evening play out?

I enjoy the show of all types. Comedy shows, ice skating as well as production shows.
We also spend time in the lounges and I personally enjoy the casino as well.
It's never an early night for me on a cruise.

I always look forward to the show after dinner, followed by a stroll along the pool or any outside deck. There could be a short stop at the casino as well, but usually an early evening, so we can get a fresh, fairly early start in the morning.

Movies Under The Stars - but only if it looks interesting.

That's about the same thing we do. If the next day is a day at sea, we might stay up a little later (midnight), stop by the pizza bar or the ice cream machine for a little snack, then head to our cabin, take one more look at the list of upcoming events for the next day, sit out on the balcony for a bit, then call it a night.

we do like to take in a show or two, ice show, if there is a deck/pool party going on you will find us there, if we just want to do nothing we will head for a small bar with live music, if we just want to veg we will head for a hot tub and gaze at the stars

We typically take in the show if it's ANYTHING other than a production show. We prefer comedy, hypnotists, magicians, tribute artists, as examples. After that, if we're still awake, we look for live music where we can wind down and listen and watch. If we're in a group, we typically look for a club where we can dance.

All of this changes if we know we're off the ship at 8am for an excursion! Then, it's typically back to bed where my husband watches a movie while I fall asleep.

We usually spend close to three hours at dinner so we are often late for the show; we will slip sometimes slip into the balcony to see if we want to see the remainder of the show. Most times we go somewhere to drink; ocassionally karaoke or a night time game. Towards the end of the cruise I will spend one evening at the craps table. We have occassionally organized our own whisky tasting (scotch and irish). Sometimes we play cards. Neither Arlene or I will usually stay up to the wee hours of the morning.

We always see the show, assuming it fits in with the schedule. If not, often we see the comedy or karaoke. On Disney cruises, they always had something fun for the adults in the bar like scavenger hunts or the marriage show etc at night after dinner. We really enjoyed that.

The shows always. Great way to relax and digest the food. After that maybe the casino for a little bit. DW and I don't really drink but we might have a glass of wine before bed.
