US Virgin Islands launches FREE Travel App for Smart Phones
I received this email (pasted below). Think it may help some cruisemates with cruises to the USVI
Quote:
I thought you’d like to know that The USVI Department of Tourism’s official, free smartphone app is now available to travelers who want to explore St. Croix, St. John and St. Thomas.
With an active network connection, app users can seamlessly peruse the USVI photo and video galleries, view island webcam footage and access recipes and site reviews, to name a few features. Cruise passengers and overnight visitors alike can still view attraction, shop and restaurant listings, travel tips and more, even without an active network connection.
The app’s special features may vary depending on smartphone type, but all platforms will allow users to share favorite places by email or on Facebook. App users are encouraged to check with their mobile provider for network coverage and terms and conditions for using their device while in the USVI.
As one of the few Caribbean destinations with a free smartphone app, we’re thrilled about this announcement
