Caribbean is nice when you get deep into the southern caribbean. The Med is wonderful too, but I really used that cruise for a mini experience of the ports of call visited and then elected to really enjoy the favorite locations via a land based vacation. Cruises are wonderful and a great way to get a "taste" of the various ports of call all around the world, but to truely enjoy all that is available in any one or more specific ports, you need to stay there for a few days rather than a few hours !

True..Need to stay longer then a few hours at the ports..Stayed at the Maralisa in Acapulco Years ago had a great time...Actually went Parasailing...And i can't stand heights.....I figured Cruising, Don't have to worry about who's driving. I think it's cheaper to cruise then to fly and hotel room and food....And when you go cruising you go and see if you like it, Then you make plans in the future after hitting the lottery to by a house on the beach. Hawaii was nice went there 3 times getting too crowded was there in the early 90's...Thanks for the message.......

We just came back from our favorite ports, St. Thomas and St Maarten. They are the nicest in the Caribbean. We also love Key West, when it's on our itinerary, but the cruise ship never stays there past 3:00. Would love to make a day of it there.

My favorite is the Isle of Marguerite, off the coast of Venezuela. But, ships won't go there anymore because of political/military upheaval. But, Roatan is a close second, as long as the ship does not go to Mahogany Bay.

Its a big world out there so I try not to repeat cruises. Still, my three stops in Venice have all been wonderful as have been my three trips to Hong Kong.
