Default Pacific Coast

I know that there are repositioning cruises up and down the Pacific Coast as ships venture to/from the Alaskan Cruise Season. I would sure love to see a line do a regular 7 day summer Pacific Coast Cruise. Has any line ever tried that? I'm sure at the very least the idea has been tossed around and there was maybe little or no interest? Living in SoCal I'd sure love to drive to San Diego or San Pedro and hop a ship heading north. Not sure how far north a ship could go round trip in a week but it would be nice to be able to visit ports like Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Monterrey, San Diego, Seattle. I'm lucky and can easily drive to San Diego and Santa Barbara and those are both terrific Cities which out of town cruisers would love. Of course they'd have to stop in Enesenada as well for the Jones act.
