Triplet,

Last month I was a "flea's knee" away from taking a cruise out of Boston on the Norwegian Dawn. They had some great rates but I couldn't get a "babysitter" to go with me.

Flying to Boston was actually less expensive than flying into NYC or Miami.

Perhaps someday......................

The port of Boston had it's busiest day, in over 5 years, with 4 ships visiting our fair city....Carnival Glory, Crystal Symphony, Crown Princess,and Seabourn Sojourn. Over 7,000 people enjoyed a bureau of tourism day, with temps in the mid 80's! Not a bad October day at all

We flew over Boston last evening just as two cruise ships were leaving port: one HAL and one Norwegian, I believe.

Boston is less than 2 hours from me, that would be a great place to cruise out of. Besides Bermuda, where else can you go when you leave from Boston, does anyone know??

You go north to Canada/Maritimes, Bermuda..and the Jewel of the Seas does a very popular 14 day repositioning cruise, this year, ending in Tampa..I know several people on it,and its always is a sell out.

We will be on the Jewel repositioning cruise in 10 days. This will be the 6th time we have done this repo, and it's great - sells out very quickly.

The itinerary is:

3 days at sea
St. Thomas
St. Kitts
St. Lucia
Barbados
Sea day
Curacao
Aruba
3 sea days
Tampa

If you want to book for 2013, better do it soon. I think all the Junior Suites are gone, and few balcony cabins are left.

PD...as I mentioned in another thread.....my gf is going with a large group of people from Southport in Mashpee,and funny, her daughter's mother and father in law, from NH is also going with a large group......I had to cancel this cruise a few yrs back,and I know well how early I booked ....exremeley popular cruise from Boston,and I think this is the first year with disembarkation in Tampa.

Have a fabulous time. & remember on this cruise, all the food is fat free.
