I would have to say the Lanai cabin on my last cruise . It exceeded my expectations .On my future HAL cruises I will definitely opt to book the same .

We like the layout of the mini-suites on Princess. They're a little larger than balcony cabins and have two TV's and a sofa. The bathroom has a tub and plenty of shelf space and the closet has shelves and enough hanging space.

We've learned to do the "cabin dance" to get where we're going without tripping over each other !

Don't think we can include anything that say "Suite" in this!!
Also they all have something that another has not, like Ocean Village had a great dressing area & quite a bit of room but no balcony, Celebrity was beautiful with a great bathroom but a bit small, Azura was pretty good but a tiny bathroom...& so on We think most are a cross between a motel room & a caravan.

Oddly, one of our best was an inside cabin on the NCL Seaward...long gone, now. But, our cabin was in the bow of the ship and shaped around the contours of the bow. Wierd layout, but it was huge.
Still, I would rather do a balcony, but I have never seen such a large cabin on any ship. Although Pricess does have some very spacious ones.

Marty, good for you on the Seward! This was the ship, when we were shown our cabin, my jaw literally dropped! The smallest cabin, I had ever seen.

On the other hand, that ship had a fabulous pool..loved that wide lip all around to sit and shmooze...

Oh Kuki,
I think, I too could live there very easily....Someday, I will splurge and get a mini suite....At the moment, I enjoy the layout of the regular balcony cabins on Freedom and I believe the Allure cabins...Just a few more days and I will be able to tell....

Exclamation Layout

Seems a lot of people are commenting on size, not layout.

We loved the suites on Zuiderdam class ships when my Dear Aunt was taking us cruising! BUT -- as far as layout, they really were nothing special. The fact is that every cabin we have ever been in, inside, outside, balcony, suite -- have all done excellent jobs of making use of whatever space was available. They all pretty much remind me of my dorm room in college, in fact.

When you come right down to it, given the size of a typical cabin, what can you do with layout that changes very much?

Sometimes, they reverse the bed and couch coffee table. I like it better when you first enter the cabin and have the little sitting area, rather than the bed and then the little open area. Not a big deal for sure, but I've had both.

I edited my post to just read, best cabin...may make for more responces.

While I loved the Eclipse, I thought the layout and storage was from hunger;(

I remember the mini suite on the Zuiderdam was nice, and the mini on the Gem I thought was thoughtfully designed, and I loved it.
