Default Random necessities?

What packing list item suggestions do you have that a first-time cruiser wouldn't necessarily think of bringing? Thanks in advance!

Some very silly things that I dont like to forget are a bingo blotter (they are expensive on board) and a high-lighter so I can high light all of the on board activities I am interested in. I also bring some sort of "magnet" to set on the door of my cabin.

Lots of folks like to bring along an alarm clock, as there isn't a clock in the cabins. I just use the "wake up" service, and have never missed anything by doing it that way...

Talking Necessities

Don't forget a power strip as outlets are usually limited.

We have long carried an emergency kit. It contains:

OTC meds (benadryl, sudafed, ibuprofen, nyquil etc.) and ESPECIALLY Immodium as the ship's stores do not carry it!
Sewing kit and eyeglass repair kit and spare eyeglasses
Dental repair material (available at drugstore)
Anti itch cream, antibiotic cream, bandaids, Nu-skin (liquid bandage)
Cleansing wipes
One of those little "shake" flashlights
Electrical tape
small scissors

We also toss spare batteries and our alarm clock into it for convenience and so we don't forget them. We have a battery operated alarm clock with a built in flashlight.

Think of other items you are used to having easy access to at home and throw them in too.

Please check with personal physician before taking any sea sick meds.... some people have medical reactions to them.

I had a clients dr. speak with their physician and they suggest NOT taking Bonine due to some meds they were already on.

I always suggest this to clients.... check before you administer....just to be safe !
