My sister lives in Alaska and we have been looking at an Alaskian south bound family cruise. This would include my sister, my elderly parents and my wife and I.
My sister proposed that we may want to take a ferry cruise from Alaska to Washington taking her car along. We would return to Alaska via the AlCan highway.
Sound great. On the Ferry we have to pay for our meals and they won't be gourmet. The ferry puts into several ports and you have to arrange your own excursions.
I still don't have all the details yet, but it looks like the ferry, food gas and lodging will be close to the price of a oneway cruise.
Has anyone taken a ferry excursion before?
