My husband and I want to travel on the 22nd of this month but someone told me the seas are rough right now. Are they really that rough this time of year? Is there a way to check since it's not too far away? A weather forecast site, etc? Thanks in advance for quick responses. Wanna book if we can today. Also, leaving out of New Orleans!
Where are you sailing? "The seas are rough" is a little nit like saying "we want to go camping but someone told us the weather is bad."
Most January cruises are tropical, (in the caribbean or mexico) and the weather is beautiful. It isn't hurricane season. But if you want to sail from NY to the Bahamas - well you might hit some rough seas.
I am the editor, but I also speculate, ask questions and play devil's advocate. I reserve the right to change my mind.
I have saile twice in the Caribbean during the mont of january with no weather problems.
As Paul said, in other areas it could be a little dicey. But today's ships handle rough weather very well.
