I think number one for me is just sitting back, relaxing and forgetting about all the negative news we are bombarded with at home by the numerous sources , aka " the media ". I know there's not a heck of a lot I can do about the price of gas, food, how things are shaping up the the middle east, ( I know how it's shaped up there for the last couple of thousand years and it's not apt to change ) who bombed whom, etc. But I can control , at least for a few days, the time I get to escape from all the above and love to either sit on my balcony or on a quite piece of deck somewhere with my trusty bino's and just watch the water, flying fish, etc and forget everything else. It's relaxing to me to feel the peace and quite, hear just the swish and see the occasional spray that comes from the ship as it sails along on the deep blue!
Then too, I like to meet different people from different places, especially different countries and talk to them about everyday things, etc. And, picking up a shore excursion in a couple of ports doesn't hurt either!
I think my favorite past time on a cruise is just relaxing not having a care in the world no phones ringing. No one bugging you. not haveing to go to work. I guess just getting away from the rat race for awhile. Then we love to swim, love the Casino.love sitting on the balcony and wathching the ocean. Spending time with my wife and let us not forget about all the good food! Now that I think about it there really is alot we like about going on a cruise!
I have to agree that one of the most enjoyable things we do on our cruise is meet new people. I also enjoy just sitting in the shade, while the lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) enjoys a lounger in the sun. I listen to my music, and "people watch". I LOVE the karaoke, and singing in the "Legends Show", the "Talent Show", or if available, both. I always enjoy talking to the musicians aboard, as they always have some interesting stories to relate. Just kicking back, and enjoying the lack of responsibility is GREAT!
My husband says I can talk to a wall, and, get an answer, so, conversations with people that were once strangers....
.
I would love to meet you because, i am the same way. I talk to people of all ges and of all diffrent views.
I met a lot of nice people on cruises.

When I was in my early 20's I could go to an all-inclusive resort and do nothing but sit by the pool and lie in the sun (not that I need a tan!) ... I just enjoy the feel of the sun beating down on me.
Today, I get too fidgetty too just lie down. I do enjoy a good breezy nap in a shaded area though!
My favourite activities:
casino
shows
comedians
dining (especially the dressing for dinner part)
RELAXATION.
I think the best part the wrap-up at dinner - hearing about all the wonderful things that everyone has done.

I do look forward to 3 squares a day, especially when on a cruise...The last few years, take good advantage of the buffets over the MDR, just more to choose from and you can go when you feel like it.
I also enjoy the poolside activities on a nice afternoon..
Sitting on my balcony or up on deck pulling into or out of port.
Getting up early to watch the sun rise.
Sitting in the "adult only area" with a good book.
