I cruised the Caribbean for the first and probably only time this year.

TBH - I don't understand why you return except for the heat.

Enjoyed reading all of the post on which ports to avoid. Wow...what an education. Forward is forearmed.

We don't mind Cabo...but only do the Mexican Rivera for the cruise experience. We usually stay on board or get off just to walk around near the port just to get off the ship. Enjoyed Asia, Alaska Canada, East Coast.

My cruise ports are limited since I have repeated the only cruises I've been on, but my least favorite so far would have to be Mazatlan. I believe it has been taken off most itineraries now if not all. I speak a good amount of Spanish, which helps in the Mexican Riviera, but Mazatlan was just such an armpit to me.

Puerta Vallarta and Cabo I would go to over and over again!

Oh...Manzanillo is another 'armpit'. Other than taking a bus tour to see the volcano, which I wouldn't recommend now because of the ride out there. There's nothing. I believe there may still be rainforest tour, but again ...I wouldn't risk the the ride out there unless we had armed guards. . Yeah, overall Manzanillo is right up there with Mazatlan.
