Default Are they cruise lines or mattress stores?

Lately, I have noticed that the cruise lines are having continuous sales. NCL and Royal Caribbean are the two that are constantly in sale mode.

My inbox is filled daily with the latest sale notices or that "Time is running out."

Maybe they've been doing this all along and I'm getting old and cranky and never thought too much about it but my "deleted items" file is getting really full and a lot of it is cruise line sales notices.

BTW: When I investigate the "sale" they really aren't much of a sale. If you are going to have a sale make it something worthwhile.

Does anyone else get a bit annoyed with the continuous sales promotions?

Take care,
Mike

Mike, it's HAL and Carnival with me. I notice because I'm broke right now and would really like to book. Good thing I have a cruise coming up in November.

Henry,

It becomes "The Little Cruise Line That Cried Wolf." When they are continuously having a sale you don't pay attention to the advertising. Then when a real sale comes along you miss it. It is just bad marketing.

Take care,
Mike

I had 6 cruiseline e:mails yesterday from 4 different companies. I can't really complain that much though as we did get a super deal on Celebrity so I guess they come in handy.

Default annoying snail mail

The emails don't bother me. Its the snail mail, especially Princess. Twice I called Princess the same day I received their mail and having to explain which mailing I was referring too, was told that sale had ended. Very annoying. Now goes right in the recycle bin w/o looking at it.

I don't think its trivial at all. Its actually a pretty good observation and this quote above sums it up.
