CM cruise

If you could design a CM group cruise ,where would it leave from and where would it go ?

My idea :

Leave from Manhattan ,Bayonne ,NJ ,Baltimore ,MD or Boston ,MA and go to 5 islands in the caribbean ,no tendering ,all docking .

Hmm, I've never done five islands before. I'm going to in November on my ten day cruise. I'm worried about holding up for all five of them. LOL

I've been thinking on this question and don't really have an answer. All I can say would be that I'd enjoy being with you guys.

The perfect CM cruise

Well, let's see. A CruiseMates cruise, huh?

Well, it would leave from an East Coast port that is an easy two hour drive for people in California, and that has a large spacious terminal with plenty of free parking nearby that is not crowded.

For a ten day cruise it should visit six Caribbean islands that have large sandy beaches and lots of shopping, two Mediterranean ports with historical ruins where you can really get to know the people and lots of shopping, three ports in Alaska with zip lines, helicopters and lots of shopping, and go through the Panama Canal and around the tip of Africa with lots of shopping.

It needs to have a lot of sea days for relaxing but no long boring days doing nothing but cruising over the sea.

Dining will be traditional at any time you want to, with eight people seated at your table for two.

Wireless internet will be available in the hot tub in the spa.

HMMM -- I think that is a good start. What else do we need to add?

;);)

California’s on the east coast? Or are you changing demographics Mike. LOL
I’m on Henry’s cruise!

Mike is trying to make everyone happy with his earthbending cruise suggestions

Shoot we can start out of California. if it is only a two hour drive for the East Coast folks it should only take us Midwesterners an hour and a half.

I've been eying a full canal transit east to west. Maybe Mike can arrange it so I can zip line across the lock as the ship enters.

I would like a full circumnavigation of North America. So that Henry doesn't have to catch a plane, we will leave from New York. Work our way up the coast to the Maritimes stopping in St Pierre and Miquelon on our way to the west coast of Greenland. Then across the Northwest Passage to Barrow, AK. Down to Nome, Kodiak, and Alaska inner passage. Down the west coast of US and Mexico to the Canal. Then back up the east coast to NYC; again, Henry can walk right off the ship.

I hope we do Marc's cruise in summer, at least through the great white north.

Very interesting ideas thus far . The first time I went from NYC to California the trip was 72 hours ,no not covered wagon .

LOL I am glad a few people got the point -- irony is hard to put across in a post.

If we do that our canal transit will be Southeast to Northwest from the Pacific to the Atlantic! (Really -- look at a map.)

It would depart Galveston and hit many islands in the Caribbean before heading up to Bermuda and then Spain, France, and Norway. Then a plane ride to Italy and hop on another cruise from Venice to explore Italy and just go where the ship takes us..

Galveston is one of my favorite port cities .

Maybe one day I will go on a cruise to the Antartic via East coast...South America...a few day in the Amazon...then head to the Antartic.
