What do you do on vacation that you could do at home, but don't

What do you do on vacation that you could do at home, but don't?

For example:
Are you a Floridian who never goes to the beach unless you are on a cruise?
Do you live close to a world class museum but only visit museums when traveling?
Do you eat at nicer restaurants or enter dives that you would never go into at home?
Do you live close to a casino but only gamble at sea?

The Thermal Suite!

We love the Thermal Suite and always make a cruise long booking for it, and use it probably twice a day. Yet at home we don't even belong to a club even though there are plenty of them with saunas and steam rooms.

I do drink when I'm on a cruise because I don't have to drive. Don't drink much when I'm home and going out to eat.

I remember having the corner aft on Sapphire and the cabin steward being nice enough to point out where the camera was just incase we had any ideas. I very much appreciated that

I play scrabble; and I sometimes play bridge; neither of which I do at home.

Good question!

I'll have a cocktail or two on the ship or vacation but never at home.

I sit and watch endless water while cruising. If that happens at home I'm in trouble.

I go to the casino almost every day/night on the ship. I go to the casino about once a year at home.

I don't "cook" on vacation but I sure do at home.

I change my clothes for dinner on a cruise.

I smoke a cigar on a cruise. I rarely do that at home.

There are a lot more but those are what flew out of my head.

I drink a bit more while on a cruise.

I love to watch the stars late at night from my balcony.

I enjoy going to the casino, which I only do once or twice a year on land.

I love to meet people from different places.

And of course, I feel like I'm in a party mood everyday of the cruise.

I have not been to many of NYC's great museums .When vacationing its a must for me to visit every museum I can possibly find .

I rarely drink but on a cruise I usually have the foo foo drinks.

I don't drink at home but I do have a few while I'm on a cruise. I don't eat watermelon at home, can't stand the stuff. We ate so much of it as a child that now I don't care for it now. But on a cruise yeah I will. Oh yeah, and that balcony thing that Aerogirl mentioned.

The only time I have ever set foot in a casino is on our cruises. I play blackjack for the table minimum. It’s great entertainment, especially watching the dealer’s reaction to some really bad players. (If it wasn’t for the bad players, the house would have to tighten the rules.)

People relate what a great time they had on their vacation. Of course, if we stayed at home and spent money at the same rate we do on a vacation, we would probably have a great time at home!
