Default On my local news this evening

This evening on my local news they aired a story about Cruiselines having to report their accidents for the year. According to the story, Carnival had the most followed by Royal Caribbean. The crimes were anything from rapes to theft...Key word in the story was, reported incidents, makes you wonder about things that do not get reported...

I am thinking again, it may have been a slow news day, so more cruise related bashing???

See Pete's (Cruiseplanner) thread just below this one. It has CLIA's response to this "stuff". Yes, it was a slow news day.

It also made the CBS Evening News and probably the other networks too. Of course they trotted out the father of the woman who disappeared on a Royal Caribbean cruise in the Mediterranean several years ago to boost the ominous nature of the report.

I'm sure Rockefeller's press people put a call in for coverage of the story, and the compliant media said 'yes sir, yes sir, three bags full', lest their access on Capitol Hill become encumbered. But then they are all sitting on adjacent bar stools at 6pm anyway, taking turns buying rounds.

Default Let's Eat...Oh Garcon!

With all the pay dining venues, it got me wondering...are there cruisers out there that will only dine in the main dining room? The feeling being, my food is already included in my cruise fare? I do understand that, but I indulge, if they have a menu I like.

There are delicious options, onboard...Chinese, French, and more, with dishes that you won't get in the dr's, does it tempt you at all?

Do you think the quality you get in a pay restaurant, is better, or the same as in the main dining rooms?

Trip, with her book & tea!
