Default Bye Bye Love Boat

I bet we can all sing the Love Boat song....years ago, when I turned on my computer, the theme song played.

Famed 'Love Boat' makes final voyage to scrapyard

Trip, with her book & tea!

A friend of mine worked as a ship's musician on both the Pacific Princess and Island Princess in the 1970s. He is quite upset by this.

I realize every old ship can't be saved but you'd think the iconic vessels would have an appeal to some investment group. I guess not when it comes to one of the two ships (a lot of the Love Boat was shot on Island Princess too) that really 'made' the cruise industry so popular.

It is an end to a chapter in the book of cruising. It would have been nice if Princess had kept the ship but it would have been a bad business decision.

If they won't save the S.S. United States and they scraped the Norway the Pacific Princess didn't have a chance.

Take care,
