Day passes to resorts in the Caribbean.

Anyone ever bought a day pass to say...Sandals when stopping on a cruise? We are thinking about doing this & wonder are there any reputable companies who do this..we are from the UK.

We do this all the time. Mainly because we want to do a site visit so we can see the resort and get as much information about it as we can for our clients who may be interested in staying at the resort. But we also like to get away from the crowds and spend a day at a nice resort. Alot of times we've been to the port so many times, there's nothing we really want to do, so we take that opportunity to check out some of the resorts in the area. Works great because there are definitely some resorts we would suggest and others we would not.

While there are some companies in some places who sell various day passes, like in Cozumel for an example, it's usually best to contact the resort directly. Depending on where you go, we see prices ranging from around $45 to about $75 per person, but that usually includes all the food, beverages, and water activities for the day.

We did a day pass to a Sandals in St. Lucia years ago. Once at the port, they have a booth and you just grab a cab and head over. I was pleasantly surprised how they did welcome the cruise passengers. You get all the plus's, except having a hotel room....I would go to their online site and read more about them and what islands they have resorts on.

Sounds better than the cruiseline who charge about 100 POUNDS each!!

NEVER book something like this through the cruise line! They have to make money, so you'll usually pay more, plus they'll take you with a bunch of people, so it'll be alot more crowded.

We have done a day pass to Couples resorts San Suci when we were in Ocho Rios Jamaica. We had a great time and believe this is one of the most under utilized excursions a person can do when visiting a Island.

When we cruise in December we are planning on visiting the Couples Resort in Barbados.

We like couples Resorts because there are no children or singles allowed there, so It makes for a nice relaxing adult experience.
