Default More passengers over board.

Those of us with a long history here at Cruisemates, remember the days when someone jumping over board, was huge news...sadly, yesterday on the Independence of the Seas, and today on the QM2, two people went over board. There have been 283 over boards since 2000.

It seems in my opinion, death by cruise ship is an easier (in their mind) way to end ones life, than some other options. Few have survived, which is a testimony to the ship and crew being able search and find the jumper.

I remember on my Magic cruise there was an announcement of a possible jumper, only to have the person turn up in the casino..!

Then heartache for the families is beyond measure..more so during the holiday...prayers to the families...

Trip, with her book & tea!

Yes it's very sad .

There are people who just can't take it anymore and decide to end it all. Some of those people want to go out with publicity and on a cruise ship they do get it.

I am not saying that I understand their motives or their actions. The fact is that the human mind can function in strange and weird ways.
