Has anyone been on a Columbia River Cruise. We are interested in doing this, but would like to know more about what time of the year to go. What will the weather be like if we go in the late fall, or late winter? Are all of the tours really included at no additional cost? Are there other optional tour that are additional money?
We sailed on the Columbia Queen last summer and it was hot many days. But the ship, the buses, and most places we visited were air-conditioned. If my memory serves me correctly, all the tour excursions were included in the price of the cruise and the buses were very nice, the drivers great, the local guides knowledgeable and the places we visited were interesting and varied. Several lunches were also included on the excursions. WE didn't have to spend any extra money, except for the tips, and the young people who served and helped us deserved a good tip.
It was a wonderful experience. I sure wish the excursions were covered on the Mississippi Queen--not one is.
