My wife and I have been on 2 Carribean cruises, and were thinking about a Delta Queen cruise. I was wondering, can you get a deep discount from a TA? I know you don't pay the brochure price for a sea cruise, but don't know much about riverboat crises except the fares are rather steep.. thanks for any help.

Get one of their brochures, either from their website or a TA. They have some deals, two for ones, free airfare, etc. If you plan ahead you can do very well. And very often if the boat is not full you can also get two for ones up to the last minute, especially on the Mississippi Queen because its larger (even though Delta Queen is our personal favorite). The website has details on special deals. By all means, try it, but beware. Very addictive!!
Go to deltaqueen.com and click on the "fares" button than select "specials". This will tell you what the Delta Steamboat Company specials are for the current time period. If you want more informatin simply call them up directly and ask. If satisified have your travel agent book you at the quoted special price.
Have cruised on Delta Queen twice, Mississippi Queen and American Queen once each.
Next cruises looking forward to are the St. Louis to Minnapelois run, Ohio River cruise and the Tennessee River cruise.
Check their website and/or give them a call and simply ask. What have you got to loose.
