I am considering a Holland America cruise from Osaka to Vancouver. Part of the itinerary includes two days of "scenic cruising" of the Kurile Islands. Has anyone cruised the Kuriles? If so, is it really scenic (in the sense that you would want to be out on deck or in the observation lounge a good part of the day) or is just HAL's way of saying two more days at sea?
