Singapore suggestions?

We will be arriving at Singapore at the end of March 2011 aboard the HAL Volendam. The ship docks at 2:00 PM and we have an overnight onboard, then we are staying one night before flying home.

I am interested in taking pictures and have decided to visit the botanical gdns, after disembarking the ship on day two. I am however looking for suggestions as to what to do on our arrival date. With it docking at 2:00 PM I don't see us having a great deal of daylight hours to explore that day. Can anyone suggest things to do fairly close to the ship. Maybe a nice marina area, or qauint streets, or ......

I would take the night time safari your first night. The botanical gardens are a must. I would also take a general tour. I would defnitely stop at Raffles for a Singapore Sling.

Singapore is fantastic....you will enjoy it.
