toiletries in cabins -- Destiny

Can anyone tell me what (if any) toiletries (shampoo, etc) I will find when we sail on the Destiny in 12 days? I am getting excited and starting to pack, but I have heard conflicting info on this one. ^Thanks

Yes, they do offer toiletries on Destiny now.. a small basket of different items. I prefer my own shampoo anyway, so generally drag that along anyway.

Bobbi, I recently toured the new Carnival Victory in NY and they did indeed have a basket of toiletries in the cabins which included bic razors, shampoo, breath mints, conditioner. However I have read someones recent post that although this has been billed as a new feature on all Carnival ships that it was not provided on that persons recent sailing. What we do is bring our favorite shampoo etc anyway and either use a provided one if it is nice enough or our own. I think you really should bring your own items to guarentee your satisfaction. If you were not happy with what is provided getting your own particular ones may be hard to do during the cruise or may be far more expensive.

Yes Dawn Princess has excellent shampoo and conditioner in the cabin. Toiletries are commonplace on cruiselines but are a new addition on Carnival.

Thanks everyone for the info. The picture was great. I just returned from business trip and I got these helpful messages. now I must go pack. We leave in two days. I will share impressions of the new Destiny itinerary (sp?) when we return if anyone is interested.
