Best Film Type?

Hi there,

I was wondering what speed film is the best to use while on a cruise? We are doing Eastern Caribbean over Christmas week. I am getting some film and normally shoot 800 speed but thought maybe that with so much sun and brightness that i should get some 200 speed instead?

Suggestions anyone?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,
We always bring the 200 speed and it works out quite well in the Caribbean.

We run both a 35 mm and an APS camera and routinely use 200 and maybe some 400 speed for inside pictures. If you plan to snorkel, buy an underwater disposable camera at home. They are very expensive in port.

I tend to take along 400 film when cruising the Caribbean.
But I hope a professional photographer answers your questions so we can both be certain.
