I am interested in finding employment on a cruiseship.
What kind of opportunities are there?
I have a Liberal Arts education. (AA in Liberal Arts)
I'm 29 yrs. I want to find some kind of non-tranditional employment.
I've done some hostessing before and I'm open to waitressing if there are waitress positions available.
If you're looking for work on a cruise ship, try contacting the different cruise lines.
You may want to also check out their web-sites and look for employment opportunities, good luck, hope you find what you're looking for.
I had bought a book for my daughter How to Get a Job with a Cruise Line. You could order it through a book store. The book gives tips and contacts. I know there are other books also on getting hired with cruise lines. The book I bought is by Mary Fallon Miller.
I AM CURENTLY WORKING ON MY BACHELORS DEGREE IN BUSINESS ADMINSTRATION AND HAVE AN ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN CULINARY ARTS. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT SOME KITHCEN CAREERS IN YOUR CRUISE LINE.
I HAVE SOME COOKING EXPERIENCE, IN FINE DINNING AS WELL AS INSTITUTIONAL COOKING. CURRENTLY IA A WORKING CHEF FOR NEBRASKA HEALTH SYSTEM. PLEASE BRIEF ME ON ANY JOBS THAT YOU HAVE. I WILL BE GRADUATING IN MAY.
Your best bet is to write to the different cruise lines and include your resume. You can also check on their web-sites under employment. Hope all goes well for you and with your graduation just around the corner, should find something by then, I hope so. Have a great holiday and good luck.
I recently inteviewed with THREE cruise lines and got two job offers. I chose NCL to work for and begin on Jan 11th on the Majesty for my first cruise. I got a position as a cruise staff, which many tell me is a hard gig to land. I would be happy to discuss how I went about it with you if you want to email me. ( I also inteviewed with RCCL and Carnival)
Congrats on the cruise job, hope its everything you expect it to be. Quite a few people come in here asking the same questions about obtaining a cruise job, glad you may be able to help some others. Wishing you well in your new job.
