Default Dry Dock ??s

When a ship is in dry dock,

do they "clean-up" the ship while repairs are being made?

Is it like taking my car to the shop? (well, we needed some extra parts, it will take a little longer than expected). or Are the repair time estimates fairly accurate?

millie in april, and wondering

The times are almost always accurate. The ships go into dry dock for very specific repairs or upgrades. Rarely do they stay longer. Cruise lines don't want to lose the money.

Milli was in drydock back in Nov/Dec and went according to schedule. She was sailing again when they predicted she would. Try not to worry......and have a wonderful trip. Milli is just beautiful and the best cruise I've ever been on.

Yes they do clean up the ship where necessary. Of course things suffer wear and tear like carpets, draperies, things like that. Sometimes some paint needs touching up as well and that is exactly when the touchups are done.
