Default P&O Australia

How is it that you don't review the P&O line in Australia. We are booked on the new Pacific Sky, and l wanted to know more about it.
But you have NOTHING! Can this be amended please?
thanks Melanie

We just havent been able to get a reviewer on board the ship yet. I would hope that we would be able to and soon, but this can sometimes take a little time as most Australian based cruise operations are not beating down our doors!

I've found some information on her let me try and dig it back up again!

Hello Melanie,

I have been asked by my friends at Cruisemates to give you call to see what information you need re the Pacific Sky (Ex Sky Princess).

I see that like me you are in OZ. I used to be the Marine & Hotel Operations Executive for P & O for the South Pacific & Asia.

In Brief: Pacific Sky is a turbine vessel which has just transferred from the Princess Fleet to the P & O fleet (all the same company behind the scenes). In November she underwent a partial refurbish in a Brisbane dry dock to prepare her for more Australian passengers.

Although she now does have a slight Australian theme about her, I am glad to say they haven't over done it. Cabins, lounges, dining areas you will find to be very pleasant and comfortable. After a few early hiccups, which are to be expected, she is now settling down into a very professional operation. The food is comparable to that found in an Australian five star restaurant.

She has a very good hull and so is a good seaboat (stable). The officers are mainly British (unless they have changed in the last month or so) the crew a bit of a mixture.

Entertainment will not let you down, there is heaps to do, or, if you wish, you can do nothing. Pacific Sky is large enough to provide plenty of "get away from it all places'.

She is not so 'glitzy as some of the American based ships, rather she has a 'quiet elegance about her'.

Passenger age groups are a bit of a mixture, Australian cruise ships do seem to attract a slightly younger age group.

Let me know if there is anything more specific you would like to know and I will do my best for you.
