Hi Patrice,
You won't freeze. We did the cruise to Alaska two years ago this may. It was cool with a little drizzle, but my daughter and I walked around the deck in jeans and a sweat shirt. I am from Vancouver Island British Columbia, it was warm and sunny here today, and it will get a lot warmer by May. A good web site to look at, and it will give you a weeks weather in advance is www.weatheroffice.com
Good Luck, let me know how you make out

Is this western Canada? If it is, the trade winds keep the area much warmer than you'd think. Vancouver, for example, doesn't go much below 40 in winter.
At sea, expect it to be cool.

For this kind of trip, I take clothes I can layer: cotten sweater over t-shirts, etc.
And, a waterproof poncho with hood is invaluable (lots of pockets). The weather fluctuates so much, it may be sunny and warm or chilly and rainy.
