What type of cabins do you recommend for families (say 2 adults and 2 or 3 kids). I know you can book 3rd & 4th person in your stateroom, but are these special rooms designed for that many people. Do you recommend certain categories, types of rooms or cruise lines/ships that seem to have staterooms geared for families?
We've had cabins that fit 4 people, just like you, 2 adults and 2 kids and we were in a catagory C on Rhapsody, had no problems, still lots of storage space. The only real problem you run into is sharing the one and only bathroom. If you time everything right, it does work out, but it takes some planning expecially on the formal nites :-)
I'm sure a good travel agent will make sure you get the right cabin/ship. Our last cruise on Explorer it was just 2 of us and we had a cabin on D7 and had plenty of room, nicest cabin we've had yet and I'll also recommend the ship for families cruising, fun for everyone, good luck. Have you been looking at a certain cruiseline/ship?
Let us know what you finally book and I'm sure you and the whole family will love it!
