Default PASSPORT - Renewal Question?

I have a passport and it will soon expire. How do I go about getting it renewed? Do I have to go thru the whole application process again? If not who do I contact to have it renewed? Any help would be appreciated...thanks!

I've recently renewed mine and my wife's passport. Our's had expired so the infomation may be a little different. I went to our Post Office where we have a Passport Office and got a renewal form. Completed the form and sent it to an office in Pittsburg, PA for renewal. New passport's cost $40 per. Got the new passport and the cancelled passport back within 3 weeks. It's possible to download the form maybe. You should be able to find the Passport Office info on a search engine.

The procedure may be different if your passport hasn't expired.

If your passport is getting ready to expire, you just need to go to the post office to renew it. That is the case if your passport has expired less than 5 years from the time you renew it. If it's expired more than 5 years, you have to get a new one.

Do you have to get a new picture made to have your passport renewed?

Barb ...

Yes. New photo is required. Guaranteed to be even worse than the last one.
