Should we invest in a wee travel iron or will their be one in our cabin like hotels today.
Traveling on the Infinity tomorrow to Alaska and my wife will need to ;touch up' her dresses.
Irons , for safety reasons, are not allowed in the cabins. Most ships have a laundry room with an ironing board for the passengers to use. A steamer is a better idea.
As Pam commented, irons are not allowed. Her suggestion of a steamer is a good idea. You may also ask your cabin person to take care of the pressing for you. Celebrity does not have a self servie laundry or ironing area.
You can begin to imagine the problems if someone left an iron on (using the bed as an ironing board) and sorta forgot to turn it off in the rush to get down to dinner.
Just pack everything in an individual dry cleaner's bag and you won't have any wrinkles, anyway.

In addition to a steamer, I use the steam from the shower to take out wrinkles. I just hang the garment in the bathroom while taking a shower. This usually takes out the wrinkles. I have also found that going on deck will make wrinkles disappear!
Hi Rob,
I'll second Pam's idea with the dry cleaner bags, they do work, be sure to tell you wife to pack all her dresses in them, then no need to iron.
I bought a bottle of "Downy Wrinkle Releaser" before our last cruise . Careful packing in plastic bags and this new product, used according to directions, made my cloth wrinkle free.
Happy Cruising!
Hi Ginnie,
I was wondering how that new Downey worked, thanks for letting us know. I will be sure to pick some up before the next cruise :-) I too swear by packing in the plastic cleaner bags, that really works too.
OK,
We came back from our trip.. it was great on the Infinity
Sent all my wifes dreses to ship's service and for $15 it was done and she was happy !
Just remember to send by 9am for return the next day and phone your cabin steward to remind of situation
