Travel Irons

Hearing conflicting stories...Seven Seas Mariner....Are travel irons permitted OR

is it considered a fire hazard in your cabin?

Travel irons are fine. No problem.

Re: Travel Irons

Many people take travel irons with them. Just be VERY careful as they can be a fire hazard. As an ex-sailor I am pretty paranoid about fire at sea and so are many of the cruise ship crews. We prefer, (and so do the cruise lines BTW) that you use their irons that are in the laundry rooms or bring with you a cloths steamer which seems to work very well for us.

I must agree with Robocop! While irons may not be spacifically banned, the cruise lines strongly urge against them. A steamer is a MUCH better idea.
