Default Grand Princess - check in

Our ship is due to leave at 7PM on the Sunday night in December. What is the earliest we can go to the ship and go onboard? We will be arriving one day earlier, and in the past we were able to get on the ship much earlier than our travel agent suggested.
Thanks, DSL

Passengers normally board a ship between noon and 4:00 p.m.
But Princess also offers "Personal Choices" boarding, which allows
you to board earlier if you care to.

But always confirm the hours of embarkation with your travel agent,
or call Princess Cruises yourself. You'll find their toll-free phone number
in the "Ship Review" area, under Princess heading

Hi Debra,
Princess also has a feature on their web-site where you can fill in all your pre-boarding information. Just get on the site and go to cruiser personalizer and fill in the required information, makes boarding a lot faster I've been told. You will need your booking number that you can get from your travel agent or by calling 1-800-Princess. 60 days before the cruise you can also pre-book excersions, great idea I think.

Boarding may actually start about 11:30 a.m. As mentioned, have all of your documents completed on-line, by fax or by mail and submitted by the due date. You will receive an "express" sticker on your cruise packet if all is complete. This will expediate your embarkation. Princess really does have the best overall embarkation program. If you have port transfers with your overnight hotel, plan to que up between 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. The vans can only hold so many and go to many terminals as well as the airport.
Bon Voyage

I'll need to contact our travel agent for our upcoming Royal Princess cruise next month. I can't wait to sail out of New York harbor with the Princess traditional sailaway party going full blast at 9:00PM! I'll wave at all you New Yorkers.
