Default Upgrade

Is it true or not? Leave in 20 days for Alaska on Carnival Spirit. Got a call from our TA saying we got an upgrade, YEAH! Last week received our Docs. no upgrade listed. Sure they could have crossed in the mail,so I call the TA he says we got the upgrade not to worry. Does anyone know how I can validate this? Also how do we fill out our boarding passes when we don't know our cabin #?

I'm in the same "boat" as you (pardon the pun). I was told to put "TBA" on my luggage tags. The luggage people on the ship will check a list and the bags will make it to your room.

Bon voyage!

Hi Sue,
You could also give the travel agent a call a few days before you leave, he/she may have a cabin number by then, otherwise do what Hucc said. Have a wonderful time and enjoy the cabin!

Yes, Princess does weddings, Grand and Golden Princess have a wedding chapel and start at $1400 (according to the brochure) will include: ceremony performed by Captain, bouquet, boutonneire, video of ceremony, certificate for vows signed by Captain, bottle of champagne, 2 champagne glasses, and a framed portrait.

They also offer reception packages.

Good Luck,

Katherine

Hi Barb,
Yes, there are a few ships that actually have wedding chapels: Both RCCL's Voyager/Explorer and soon Adventures of the seas. Also Princess has 2 ships with wedding chapels as well, Grand and the sister ship Golden.

Here is a link to weddings that has lots of good info:

Sue,
If u've actually been upgraded, the TA should be able to at least get your cabin # from Carnival. If not, get your booking # from your present docs, and call Carnival and inquire yourself.

Regards,
Kuki

I arrived at the pier n New York with no cabin assignment. I was sailing Carnival's Victory. The longshoremen had the list of who was going to be where. I'd just put guar. and the category cabin I'd guaranteed, a standard outside. Much to my surprise, when I boarded I found they'd upgraded me to a verandah cabin. Had no idea, but I sure didn't complain. My luggage arrived in about 1/2 hour.

Thanks for your help, I did as you suggested and called Carnival all they would tell me was that I was on the ship(no help at all) I did call my TA and he did give me a cabin # so it must be true unless he pulled that # out of thin air. Either way I am going to be anywhere but here and that is the most important thing.
