Default Which side of ship

I'm taking a cruise on the Explorer in a week and we have a balcony cabin. Is any one side of the ship better?
What side to you have to be on to see people get on and off the boat and the ports? Is it noisier on one side?

There really is no set rule about sides for port or ocean views. I've been on the same ship, same port, same side, and have had both views. It's one of those que sera, sera things.

I don't think one side is ever noisier than the other.

You can always watch the traffic from a "public" deck.

I have to disagree with you on this one Pam. The "bottom" side is definately a bad place <>
