I got myself "hooked" on cruising after just returning last month and want to book another for the Spring. Well actually I have already put a deposit down on Carnival's Jubilee for April, but don't really want to go on that ship, it's older but the price is really good! Here's my problem I can't get anyone to book with me now after all that has happened recently so looks like I will be SOLO and want to do a 5 day sailing (or will consider a 4?). Anyhow as we know single occupancy is much more expensive! Does anyone here who cruises solo have any suggestions? I don't want to do a share with a stranger...would prefer my own cabin if I don't know the person. Any and all suggestions welcome! Thanks!
Sorry, but the "share" cabin is the only thing I can think of at the moment, possible one of your traveling friends will change their minds?? You can also post in the "singles" area looking for a cabin-mate and if you find one, at least you'd be able to communicate through e-mail before the cruise, to see if there is any of the same interests?? Just a thought, but you may want to start there in the meantime:
Len: Carnival offers another option in category 1A. 1A is usually a smaller , cheaper cabin. On the Jubilee, I think they even have some that are oceanview. Thing is, it's upper/lower berths. But, for one person, that wouldn't matter. The good thing is they will allow you to pay one and a half times the single rate instead of double...it is for the 1A cabin category only though. Hope this helps.----Linda
