Birth Control
Someone told me that if I take bonine for seasickness it might counteract my birth control pills. Does anyone know if this is true? The last thing I need would be to get pregnant from someone I meet on the cruise.

Re: Birth Control
Hi Jen,
I think this is something you should ask your doctor about, better safe than sorry, good luck and happy cruising.

You can also have your gentleman partner wear a condom to be safe.

Re: Birth Control
Jen, Getting pregnant from a casual encounter is the least of your problems. With so many diseases out there, engaging in sex without a condem, is like playing "Russian Roulette". They don't interfere with Bonine either.

Re: Birth Control
Before my first cruise, I stopped at the drug store and bought some Dramamine and condoms. The druggist asked, "If it makes you sick, why do you do it?"

Sorry, old joke.

Re: Birth Control
Hi, Jen ...

If you haven't already done so, pop down to "Ask the Pharmacist" in this section.

Be careful whom you hook up with .... a ship's doc once told me that his best customers are male crew with the clap.

Whether that's true or not, I don't know. But I do know of a woman who got it from one of those guys. That was, however, before the days of "safe sex".
