Beverage Budget??

We'll be sailing on the Grand Princess over Halloween to the Western Caribbean. I'm trying to estimate our beverage budget. Is there a beverage/wine price list posted anywhere? My husband and I are not big drinkers but we'll probably have one "drink of the day" and an occasional bottle of wine with dinner. In addition our 13 y/o son will be traveling with us. Fortunately for us he likes ice tea and lemonade!

I haven't seen one for Princess but if you go to www.cruisenewsdaily.com then click on RCCL Information Source you can view the RCCL Bar Menus. The prices may vary some from what you will encounter but it would at least give you a ball park figure.

To be safe, count on about $5 per cocktail. The "Drink of the Day" tends to be less expensive but the fancy ones with lots of umbrellas and a souvenir glass can get pricey.

You should be able to find quite acceptable wines in the $30 - 40 range.

I, too, only get one or two drinks a day and wine once or twice w/dinner, but love the special drinks - like Mango Tangos! I have found that you can save yourself about a dollar on these if you just ask for them in a regular (usually this means plastic) glass. I generally go up to the bar to get it, & can't say the barman is overly thrilled, but I have found I don't even want the fancy souvenier glasses! They take up too much room in my luggage, I have to stuff them & roll them in clothing, then I end up selling them for l0 cents at a garage sale after storing them for a couple of years! So, I don't feel like paying an extra dollar for one.
