Default Bringing Liquor on Board

With added securuity does anybody know if you are still allowed to bring wine/bottled liquor on board? I would hate to find out after we have purchased everything we are not allowed to bring it on the ship.

Thank you!

Hi Becky,
From all the posts I've been reading, yes it sounds like they have really cracked down on bring liquor on board recently. Best bet is to check with the cruiseline you are going on and see what the latest policy is, seems to be changing day/day.
Happy Cruising.

Becky,
Wine is allowed, liquor is not. If you do bring some pack it in your checked luggage in bubblewrap or in unbreakable bottles. Better yet, just buy it onboard.

Becky,

It depends on the cruise line and their policies. Enforcement of the policies vary from ship to ship, sometimes from cruise to cruise.

A large group of us sailed on Celebrity earlier this year and the unofficial social hosts stocked up at the DFS in FLL. They boarded, obviously "carrying", with no challenge. (Celebrity has a no personal liquor policy.) Then we were shocked to find the DFS on board selling it straight out the door, not holding it until the last night as we'd experienced on many previous Celebrity cruises.

We've been self-supplying for years and never had a problem.
