I was recently asked by a family member the following question:
What cruise lines/ships will allow 2 adults and 3 children (under 10) to occupy a single cabin? They are interested in a 7 day cruise next summer (2002).
Hi,
Carnival ships have quint cabins. I am going in Nov. with 5 people and I did it last year with 5. All adults both times. It was crowded with us but with kids that small it shouldn't be a problem. Disney ships also have family cabins that hold 5 but they are a lot more expensive. I'm not sure of the other lines. Hope this helps.

I have been checking for cabins for our family of 5 for next year. So far it looks like RCCL - Voyager or Explorer of the Seas which have a few family staterooms, Carnival or Disney.
Disney is probably the best bet as you have a seperate room for the adults plus a bath and a half in the cabin. With all the deals out right now, you could probably book a reasonable rate too! Good Luck.
Florida Lady,
The Vision of the Sea has family cabins that sllep up to 8 people with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathroms .It also has a living room and a balcony.

I've gone on Carnival with 3 kids in just a regular outside cabin. Because the room stewards are so good, we never felt crowded. I don't know how they were able to keep all of our "stuff" stashed away without ever being intrusive. However, if you could swing a suite, that would be better. The category 12's are enormous. Have a wonderful time!
