Default Passports It will Be!!

Thanks to everyone that responded to my question about the I.D. for my son.I've decided to get passports for all 3 of us and then we won't have to worry about a thing! I did read somewhere about the custodial parent having to have the X-husband "give permission" (UGH!!!) for me to take the boys out of the U.S.!! I will carry the divorce papers with me also. And the papers that say that I have permission to take them out of the state we live in because he was so busy being a dead beat dad that he never saw his boys in the first place!! After 13 yrs of being divorced,I shouldn't have to ask him to sign anything!! I'll do what I'm suppose to do tho, thats all that matters! Right? Thanx again to all!!

Hi Korrine,
Think you are making the best decision about getting passports, they are really the best form of ID. I've also heard lately that they are not taking that long to get back, so that also helps.
PS: Glad you made it into the chat, so don't be a stranger there :-)

Since you are taking passports, it is always a good idea to run acouple copies of each in case you lose the original and have to go to the Consulate. JP Good idea of the drivers' license as well.
