You can get driving directions to the port of miami at mytravelco.com and I think they include exit numbers and all...and from Yahoo Maps too...happy sailing!!

Exit 5A. It exits quickly to the right and then goes left. Just follow it straight ahead and it dumps you right there at the Port. Don't worry as there are lots of signs.

You should be skeered, I-95 through Miami can be a real yeehaa. Exit 5A is the way to go but based on my first experience, thought you might appreciate a little more detail.

After passing the I-395 mixing bowl, get in the left lane because the 5A exit sign, given its importance, is rather innocuous and doesn't seem to be where it should. You leave I-95 and parallel it south crossing NW 7th St until you come to NW 5th. Turn left under the freeway and head east through little Havana. Fascinating several blocks. Excitement should mount when you cross the several lanes of Biscayne Blvd onto what becomes Port Blvd because that means you're getting close. Large bridge takes you onto Dodge Island and the terminals.

Incidentally, if your room is on the port side, you will be treated to the seaplanes taking off and landing all afternoon. After getting underway, it is nothing unusual to get mooned by the kids in their convertables on MacArthur Causeway.

More than you ever wanted to know...have fun.

Make that the right(outside) lane. If you stay in the left lanes things won't work out. Sorry.
