Default calling cards

We are going on the eastern caribbean cruise on the Pride on 2/9 and need to keep in touch with the teenagers at home. Is it possible to call using a calling card from St. Thomas or St.Maarten?

Judy ...

E-mail might be a better option in Internet cafes or from the ship.

Your calling times might miss the kids. With e-mail you won't miss them?

Of course you will MISS them, in the larger sense.

Your card will work from St Thomas, where the phone system is typical American. Not sure about St Maartin. Time difference is only a hour from the east coast, more as you head west.

Your standard long distance calling card should work from St. Martin as well as St. Thomas; Sprint, AT&T, MCI, Verizon, etc. Also, you could purchase a prepaid Global calling card which is offered on many cruise forum sites. I have seen people using cell phones too even in Grand Cayman.
Bon Voyage
