Default Ocean Princess Shore Excursions

When we take shore excursions, what do we do with our passports/ID? Can they stay in the safe in our rooms, or do we need them to get off/on the ship? What about other items if you go snorkling, where do you put them for safe keeping?

Get yourself a plastic waterproof wallet/container to wear around your neck. They can be had at most stores that sell snorkel stuff and many stores in tourist areas and on most ships. In it, when you leave the ship, keep your cruise card , drivers license(photo ID)
a COPY of the photo page of your passport, one credit card and a small amount of cash. Wear it around your neck and you will never have an issue of security while touring (even when swimming).
Leave all other valuables locked safely in your room.
Enjoy Ocean Princess I just sailed on her in November.
