Late 50's single man discount?

Hi,
My father is 58 years old, in good health, handsome, very personable and enjoys female companionship. He is a widower of 16 years, had dated since then and recently ended a long-term relationship. He enjoys cruises, has lead a successful company, and is a very fiancially prudent man. He heard that there may be discounts/deals available for men of his stature to go on cruises as a single to help to offset the large quantities of single female cruisers. He is semi-retired now and has a lot of free time that he can go on cruises with reasonable short-term notice. I was wondering if these opportunities really did exist for him, and how to find out about them.
