Hi Marcia,
You can easily catch a cab at the pier in Cozumel and go over to Chankanaab park, its a short ride. Nice beach, good snorkeling there too. Here is a link with all the information:

You may also want to read through the section here at Cruisemates for first time cruisers, lots of good tips, enjoy:

Have a great time on Monarch!

Hi, Marcia ...

Here's (maybe) some good advice for Coz

<http://www.cruisemates.com/articles/cruiseguide/portsofcall/cozumel.cfm>

There aren't any beaches near the piers. And San Miguel (downtown) is a good way away.

You'll probably do better renting a car than taxiing all over the place.

Unless you are seriously into getting blasted and acting like you didn't know better, give Carlos & Charlie's a pass. Yeech. However, some people DO like doing that. And most of them regret it. Some have been know to miss the ship.

After at least 15 or 16 times on Coz, once at C&C was enough for me. And I am FAR from tame.

Let us know if we can help more.

Are you going to Key West. Well, when you get off the trolley for the beach. you will have to walk about a half of mile to Nothing. The beach is not really a beach any more. So, do some touring and have fun shopping.
