Default "Partially Obstructed View" on PRIDE

Can you please comment on your experience with a balcony cabin listed as "Partially Obstructed View"? I understand from Carnival Rep that this could mean as little as 25% - seeing the underside of a lifeboat, to 100% obstruction if the Captain deems it necessary to raise or lower lifeboats due to the height of the seas. In order to get my father on the same deck as my husband & me,(and he needed a balcony room that slept 3) he had to book this type of cabin - all others were sold out. His cabin # is 5182. I'm just wondering how bad the "25% obstruction" really is. Thank you!

Donna

You never know. I personally don't mind partially obstructed view cabins. You have natural daylight which is very important to me. I think they're a great deal.

Maybe you could just look in the other direction 75% of the time?

(I am very bad at math.)

We have had partially obstructed before and it was never a problem.

Hi- can`t understand the concern. Being a canny Scot, I always book the cheapest inside cabin. I only use a cabin for sleeping and changing. Who wants to look out a cabin window? If I want to view the waves, I sit out up top, with a dram in hand.

Who wants to look out a window? I do. You would have to pay me to sail with an inside and I can't figure out how much it would be.

Don't hand me that canny Scot thing (see large grin). If it hadn't been for that Cromwell guy, Uncle Tommy would be King of England and I'd be the Duchess of Kent getting free tickets to Wimbledon !!!

Now THAT is being a canny Scot !!!
