Default trip insurance

Looking for advice on buying the insurance. I know that not buying it is a risk, but what are the advantages in having it. Any info as to where to purchase it and what specific things to look for in coverage? I'd appreciate any info on the subject. Thank You

Hi Phyllbo,
I never cruise without insurance, just too many things I can't control can go wrong. The one major issue with me is, if you have some accident and have to be air lifted to the nearest hospital, our normal insurance does not cover the espense of that, and it can add up to thousands. There is also the problem of lost luggage, missed flights, and the list goes on. So for the cost of the insurance, I do not have to worry about things like that. I also live in the midwest and weather is definitely a problem sometimes and I don't want to take an extra chance of not being able to get to the port on time. I'm sure there are many more reason to take out the travel insurance, but these are a few.

Here are a few links where you can check out what they do cover and compare, good luck and hope you do take some out:

Hi Donna,
Thank you so much for your input. We've done 2 cruises now without the insurance, but after reading about sudden ship and schedule changes and adding the protection if a medical emergency should arise, the insurance is beginning to sound like a good investment. Thanks

We bought insurance through our travel agent. It doesnt' cover the entire cost of the cruise in case somethng happens, but it would be better than losing the entire amount. You never know what might happen & the cost is affordable and well worth it, I believe.

Happy Cruising!

I recently checked into purchasing insurance on my own. I was quoted $56pp, RCCI charges $99pp. I will purchase this instead! 1-866-455-6109 They were very helpful when I called.

Give it a try!!!
